Toma

Named for the Italian word for a "wheel of cheese made by the farmer," Toma embodies the spirit of traditional farmstead cheesemaking. Crafted from pasteurized cow's milk and aged for 90 days, this semi-hard cheese has a supple, creamy texture beneath its signature waxed rind. Rich notes of sweet butter and fresh cream give way to a bright, grassy finish, creating a beautifully balanced cheese that's equally at home on a cheese board or melted into your favorite recipes.

Exceptionally versatile, Toma shines in grilled cheese sandwiches, macaroni and cheese, risotto, pasta, burgers, and soups, where its creamy texture melts beautifully. It also pairs effortlessly with fresh peaches, fruit compotes, toasted nuts, sautéed greens, and artisan bread, making it an everyday favorite for entertaining or casual snacking. Enjoy it with hop-forward IPAs, Pinot Noir, barrel-aged Scotch, an Old Fashioned, or even a Mai Tai.

Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese Company traces its roots to 1901, when the Giacomini family's farming tradition began. Today, the fourth-generation, family-owned creamery continues that legacy on its dairy overlooking Tomales Bay in Northern California. Founded by the Giacomini sisters in 2000 after transforming the family dairy into an artisan creamery, Point Reyes is celebrated for crafting exceptional farmstead cheeses that reflect the quality of their milk, stewardship of the land, and passion for traditional cheesemaking.
